According to a recent story by Fox 5 Vegas, Las Vegas is on track to set a tourism record for 2015. Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) reported 41.1 million visitors in 2014 and they are reporting more than 42 million will have visited in 2015.
“Whether a first-time visitor or a returning Las Vegas enthusiast, the destination continues to astonish travelers from all over the world with luxury resort experiences, world-class dining and exciting entertainment,” said Rossi Ralenkotter, president and CEO of the LVCVA.
The story goes on to discuss the impact the tourism industry has on the county. With the industry generating more than $50 billion and supporting 360,000 jobs, which covers 43% of the population. Although the record breaking stat is most likely going to be confirmed, the final numbers will be announced in early 2016.
