On February 24, we shut down our office to visit H.P. Fitzgerald Elementary School and volunteer with Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada. Junior Achievement is a non-profit organization providing a series of life-skill programs to enhance the education of young people. Our team had a fun, rewarding experiencing teaching the wonderful children at Fitzgerald Elementary in North Las Vegas.
In total, 24 people signed up for yesterday's JA in a Day and all 24 volunteers showed up to teach life lessons about business and education to the great kids in this underprivileged community. It's a novel concept to have so many small business owners and entrepreneurs coming together for an event like this, and we are all extremely proud of the turnout.
If you are interested in volunteering with Junior Achievement, there are several volunteer opportunities throughout the year for anyone who may be interested. Please reach out to Lisa Tomlin at (702) 888-0512 or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on how to get involved!
