Well, it's official...IKEA is in the Las Vegas Valley!
A much anticipated arrival, IKEA opened it's door last Wednesday at 9am. The lucky group of people who camped out were rewarded for their dedication with various prizes. IKEA made it an experience people will remember with show girls, circus performers, and a live band.
According to a News 3 article, "at 351,000 square feet, this is the biggest big-box in the valley, dwarfing the competition and introducing a new element of competition to the local home furnishings industry. IKEA has its niche: sensible, stylish, and relatively affordable chic."
IKEA hired 300 people who have been training and preparing for the big day. It's great to see companies like IKEA coming to the valley to bring more options and new jobs.
With IKEA opening, we now await the next big opening.
